Why vouchers matter

Auditors, donors and boards want to see that every payment was approved by someone other than the person who made it, and that the person paid confirmed they received it. A voucher captures that in one page: who was paid, how much (in figures and in words), for what, by which method, and who approved it.

Amount in words, automatically

Writing amounts in words prevents changes and is expected on vouchers in many countries. SmallKits writes it for you in the document language, using lakh and crore for Indian rupees.

Built for NGOs, churches and schools

Account or budget codes, project and grant names, and supporting document lists are all available, without clutter for small businesses that do not need them.

Frequently asked questions

Is this really free?

Yes. All voucher and expense tools are free and unlimited, with no sign-up and no watermark.

What is the difference between a payment voucher and a receipt?

A receipt is given by the person receiving money. A payment voucher is kept by the organisation paying it out, signed by the person who received the money.

What is petty cash?

A small float of cash kept for minor expenses. Each payment from it is recorded on a petty cash voucher.

Can I attach receipts to an expense claim?

Yes. Add photos of receipts and they are added as pages after the claim, in the same PDF.

Can I print blank vouchers?

Yes. The petty cash voucher tool can print a sheet of blank numbered vouchers to fill in by hand.

Is the amount in words correct for my currency?

Amounts in words use the currency’s own name and minor unit, for example cents, kobo or paise.
