What makes a quote win

Customers compare quotes quickly. The ones that win are easy to understand: a clear description of what is included, one total, an obvious date until which the price holds, and a simple way to say yes. Each SmallKits template is built around that, with an acceptance signature block you can switch on in one click.

From yes to invoice

When the customer accepts, open the document from Documents and choose “Make invoice”. The customer and every line come across, the invoice gets its own number, and the link back to the quote is kept. Estimates can also become sales orders, and proposals can become a deposit proforma.

Validity dates

Prices change. Each quote, estimate and proposal has a valid-until date filled in from your standard validity period (30 days unless you change it), so you are never held to an old price.

Frequently asked questions

Is this really free?

Yes. All quote, estimate and proposal tools are free and unlimited, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Is a quote legally binding?

A quotation is usually treated as a fixed offer that the customer can accept until it expires. An estimate is an informed guess. Rules differ by country, so say clearly which one you are sending.

Should I include tax in a quote?

Show tax on its own line if you are registered for VAT, GST or sales tax, so the customer knows the full amount they will pay.

How long should a quote be valid?

Thirty days is common. Use a shorter period if your material prices move quickly.

Can the customer sign to accept?

Yes. Turn on the acceptance signature block under Advanced settings. The estimate and proposal show it by default.

Can I turn a quote into an invoice?

Yes, in one tap from Documents or straight after downloading.
